- Here at Jaynes we recommend that you start looking for your wedding dress a year to 18 months in advance! This allows plenty of time to find your perfect dress, deliver your gown and have any alterations done that need to be made.
- Designers can take up to six months to deliver their dresses to us. A seamstress then usually likes eight to twelve weeks to alter your dress before your wedding date. This time goes by very fast but that’s why we recommend that you come within this time frame to make sure your bridal appointment isn’t overwhelming but instead an amazing and fun experience!
- On the other hand, if your wedding date is much sooner, don’t panic! We have plenty of other options as designers can either do rush cut deliveries or we have a fabulous selection of ‘Ready to wear’ dresses for you to try!
- Depending on when you want to visit us, booking is not required but always recommended!
- We cannot always guarantee that a bridal consultant will be available if you wanted to pop in to see us due to already having a bride booked in so we do recommend you give us a call or book through our website!
- We have a few different appointment types which have different lengths of times!
- For a ‘Regular appointment’, which is your first appointment trying on a variety of different dresses in hope to find ‘the one’, is an hour and a half!
- We offer a ‘VIP appointment’ which is two hours!
- A ‘Retry appointment’, this is if you have already tried on but you wanted a second visit, is an hour.
- Lastly, our ‘Try on appointments’, which is trying on your very own dress, is an hour.
- Our VIP appointments include a longer time frame of two hours! We also include a bottle of fizz, some chocolates as well as sweets too! Your bridal consultant will use your time to helps you find your dream dress from a wide selection of gowns that we have in our store.
- We absolutely love meeting your closest family and friends during your appointment! We usually recommend that you bring three guests with you for this special occasion as it allows the perfect amount of opinions without it becoming too overwhelming. Our best advice is for you to bring people you trust and know want you to go feel your best on your big day!
- We advise you to wear nude underwear to your appointment! Most, if not all of our gowns have built in bust cups that mean that you don’t have to wear a bra, however, if you do not feel comfortable not doing so, we recommend you to wear a nude strapless one.
- Our Lincoln store does not have an in-house seamstress however we have a good relationship to a seamstress in Newark! We highly recommend her to all of our brides but we understand if you want to find your own!
- As for our Doncaster store, we also do not have an in-house seamstress but we can again give good recommendations around the area!
- For Lincoln, due to us being just off the high street, we do not have any on sight parking. We do recommend NCP Highstreet parking as its the closest to our store.
- For Doncaster, there is 2 hour parking on Thorne Road where the shop is located! Alternatively, there is an NCP next to the shop.
