Worth the journey…
There’s a difference between buying a wedding dress and finding one. At Jaynes, we’ve been in the business of the latter since 1981 — and brides from Scunthorpe and across North Lincolnshire have been making the journey to our boutique on Guildhall Street ever since.
We stock a hand-selected collection of designer gowns from houses including Pronovias, Madi Lane, Morilee, Stella York, Justin Alexander, Martina Liana, and Calla Blanche. Over 200 gowns in the boutique at any one time, each chosen because it offers something specific — a silhouette, a fabric, a detail that earns its place on the rail.
Every appointment at Jaynes begins before you arrive. Your stylist will speak with you in advance, learn your brief, your venue, the feel of your day, and have a curated selection of gowns ready and waiting when you walk through the door. You’re not browsing cold rails on arrival. The work has already been done.
Standard appointments run to 90 minutes. Our VIP experience gives you two full hours — sole use of the boutique, a glass of something sparkling on arrival for you and your guests, a dedicated stylist throughout, and a gift bag when you say yes.
Our collection runs from UK 6 to UK 32, chosen with the same care and attention at every size. We also carry a designer off the peg gowns available to take home the same day — ideal if your timeline is shorter or you’d simply prefer not to wait.
Brides from Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire have found their gowns with us ahead of weddings at Healing Manor Hotel, Normanby Hall, and venues throughout the Lincolnshire Wolds. If you’re planning a North Lincolnshire wedding, we’d love to be part of it.
The A15 southbound from Scunthorpe takes you directly into Lincoln in around 30 minutes. Parking on Tentercroft Street — NCP or Waitrose — puts you within a five-minute walk of Guildhall Street.
Reserve a private two-hour appointment. The kettle is on, something sparkling is chilling, and there is a dress with your name on it.
